Flock Companion (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
All flock profiles, health logs, egg records, hatching logs, expenses, and settings you create in Flock Companion are stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit your personal flock data to any server.
If you subscribe to a paid plan or make a one-time purchase, RevenueCat (our payment processor) handles purchase verification. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase and device information as described in their privacy policy.
If you add photos to flock profiles or records, those images are accessed from your device’s photo library or camera. Photos are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to any server.
If you enable the weather feature, your approximate GPS coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve your local forecast. No account is required and Open-Meteo does not store or log your location data. You can disable weather at any time in Settings.
If you use voice input, your device’s built-in speech recognition processes audio in real time to convert it to text. On Android this uses Google’s speech recognition service; on iOS it uses Apple’s speech recognition. In both cases audio may be sent to that provider for transcription and is not stored by us. Voice input is optional — you can disable microphone access at any time in your device’s app permissions.
If you grant notification permission, Flock Companion schedules local reminders on your device. These notifications are processed entirely on-device and are not transmitted externally.
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs. No usage data, crash reports, or behavioral analytics are collected in this version of the app.
All app data is stored in your device’s local storage. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. We have no ability to access or restore your data once the app is deleted.
Flock Companion is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
